I got a big hug from Penn when we saw them in Vegas, and my SIL actually got to go on stage with them for a trick.  Pretty cool.

Well, if you're going to say everything's caused by magic, there really isn't anyway to argue against that.
Penn & Teller may dispute that  ;D

+1! ;)

I love Penn & Teller's Bullshit. I've heard from friends that Teller is apparently very kind and very funny when you meet him in person, too. Bonus! A good friend's mom got several pictures of the two of them together, goofing off and stuff, when she went to a show in Vegas.

I just posted in one of the other threads about how Penn tweeted back and forth with me once about his grand-parents being from Newfoundland and a mutual love of tea. Made me happy. I like Bullshit, too, though I don't always agree with their arguments (or some of the "evidence" they use for their arguments)
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Penn and Teller are awesome showmen, and hilarious in action.

As far as the OP goes, though, I'm sorry, but what was said sounds nonsensical.  If you go by the premise given (which I don't), you could just as easily say that Christians are Muslims, since they both believe that people were created by magic, or that Jews are Hindus for the same reason.

I have a feeling that, for the OP, religion = Xtian, and vice versa.

That would fit.

Atheists are christians because both believe that forms are given to us. For christians, forms are given magically. For atheists forms are there all along - just like magic..

That makes absolutely no sense.  What are these "forms" you speak of?  What makes you think atheists must believe that these "forms" were always there?  And what about forms is specific to christians rather than theists in general?

Isn't this a textbook syllogism? Such as:

People who are mentally disturbed post in this forum
You post in this forum.
Therefore you are mentally disturbed.

I think it should be:

All people who post on this forum are mentally disturbed
You post on this forum
Therefore, you are mentally disturbed.

Shouldn't this be part of  the "Prostitution, legalise or not?" thread?
Some ideas are so stupid only an intellectual could believe them (Orwell).

That's no longer a syllogism, but is certainly more factually accurate.
