;D

I love this period of time, it's like an never-ending Sunday.

...Not sure if the following is correct or not, but saw the following on my twitter feed.

In the UK the days between Christmas and New Years are known as the 'gusset' in England. Example: "I'm 4 days deep in the Christmas gusset"

I've never heard that expression before. In which part of England is it used?

Me neither 🤔

Never heard the expression.

But I like it :D

New TV (123cm LG LED UHD 4K) + Netflix = Star Trek marathon. See you in a while!

Enjoy. I'm sure it will make the cold feel better.

My bible-thumping Adventist grandparents will arriving in a while. I'm wondering where they could be taken them that isn't an Adventist Church...the city I live in isn't exactly full of tourist attractions. :notsure:

My grandfather is a bit of a soccer fanatic, so I guess we can take him to a couple of stadiums.

Good job you have HAF to vent to. I'm fascinated: do let us know how it went.

So far so good, except for the part when they talk about death and diseases (their favorite topics). Both are a little over 80 now so I guess it's what's on their minds...

They're going to be staying for a week.

We're thinking of renting a car and taking them to Nova Petrópolis, Gramado and Canela. Those are the most touristy towns around these parts. I have never been to Nova Petrópolis myself.

Gramado.

Canela.

Bit of a blue theme in the first pic it seems. Sounds like the name means "New Rock City". Looks like a good place to visit.

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Yeah, it does look like a pleasant place. The three towns I mentioned are German settlements, so the immigrant influence is strong in the architecture, food and language. Gramado is famous throughout Brazil for its chocolate.  :yum:

Now it's hortensia flowering season, so the along a portion of the roads that climb the Gaucho Highlands en route to Nova Petrópolis it's full of them. I think my grandparents will enjoy the scenery. :smilenod:

What happened?
