Oh, I still have an eye for beauty - but, as I said, I now do it standing still. Or, even better, sitting down...
When I were nowt but a lad . . . The local park had gardens along the front with benches for sitting and contrmplating. There was one old codger (probably about my age now) who always sat on those benches in warm weather, leaning forward, hands resting on his walking stick in front of him, watching the sidewalk. If a good looking woman walked by he would get a big grin on his face, cackle and bang his walking stick on the ground. I
