Looking for heavy metal music tips

For many years now, I've been a hard rock fan (AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, etc.).  Now that I'm getting older however, I'm getting more and more into heavier music. I guess that this all started by listening to Alice Cooper's "Brutal Planet".

What I'm looking for is some CD tips of you guys that could help me further on my quest for heavy music. What I like (so far) is Metallica, Manowar, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabath, AC/DC, Alice Cooper (of course) and Marilyn Manson (only the latest 2 albums). I'm however not such a fan of Iron Maiden, nor of bands that have barely any musical talents and can only create noise.

Thanx in advance for your tips..

Try old Nine Inch Nails! Trent is awesome!

Quote from: "inezy"...and btw TOOL is not metal, plus they suck

I've seen them classified as both alternative rock and alternative metal which is basically just a harder version of alternative rock.  Tool is okay, I can dig some of their stuff but not really a band I'd go out of my way to listen to or anything.

Great stuff indeed. I've just bought Mastodon's Album "Leviathan", more CD's are to follow.
