Since yesterday my inbox is overloaded with weird spam messages that look like that they we're written by fundamentalist christians, but are in fact coming from a online pharmacy in HongKong. The messages contain dummy yahoo e-mail addresses like: hgouaxbp@yahoo.com, etc. and message-headers, like: "Righteousness by of our Lord (How holily and they shall", "(place: of the son of thy grave in the ninth captain for if ye", "His sake, I even as a clean but the morning it and stood up, now shall" and other nonsense.

The message is composed of a crazy fundamentist text, followed by an advertisement for viagra and other pills of the pharmacy in a gif image file and then more religious nonsense. What is the point of this type of spam? It simply doesn't make any sense at all. Only crazy people would visit that online pharmacy.

Example:
QuoteLord when ye premeditate: Esau hated I pray every town: and Desolate taken of mourning. I them; shew his men that he soweth To build: me to mourn both they did not regard it To the Spirit of Amalek from thine eminent place: Sela to help. But the way and to the things which is most. And idolaters: and gave it shall speak unto his right hand unto the Thy seed shall be heard of Egypt. And thou shalt surely I bare Within the house The stone, and he is shall be not, That is neither Shall I will say, how that earthly, through Jesus Christ; Jesus, saw a trumpet in the be a pillar which is turned carried them learn To you, forth: to one reed, five and their reproach, of good, to make long shall Come out; of wood And it saith the teeth. The spammers slip the advertisement in with lots of text in attempt to get it past spam filters - it can be any kind of text.  I got one which looked like someone copied paragraphs from a biology textbook.

Well, the spammers didn't get past my spam filter. I'm just wondering why these spammers would take so much effort to stop people visiting their websites. I thought that the main goal of advertising (and spamming)  is to attrack as many people as possible.

I've been getting those every once in a while too. Only they seem to always be priests in Africa wanting money. Which we all know is a bunch of BS.

One I got today used of off-beat techniquie, maybe be more likely to work too. Asked for something like religous/diving literature or somethin. Meaning bibles and the sort. Ask for somethin that another cannot offer when the potentially person wants to help; you may get money instead.
Me, my projects and random pictures, haha.

"Fear is strange soil. Mainly it grows obedience like corn, which grows in rows and makes weeding easy. But sometimes it grows the potatoes of defiance, which flourish underground." from Small Gods by Terry Pratchett
