It has long been the problem that some people do not take their medication. This has been a problem when the medication includes sntipsychotics, some conditions make it difficult for the mentally ill to keep to routines. Sone medicstions have side effects that mitigate agsinst their use.

In this development the pill contains a chip, activated by the gastric juices, that communicates with s smsrtphone via a patch on tbe skin - thus providing a record of the fact that it bas been taken and when.

Given that unmedicated psychosis has caused problems, including the deaths of innocents, I still have an uneasy feeling about this news.

Providing humanity survives the mess we are making of the world . . . Thinking that we ain't seen nuthin yet! But bothered that we would rather not see some of it at all.

Still waiting for the implantable cardiac defibrillator with the built in GPS and cellphone that they promised. So when one is an untidy heap on the floor or ground somewhere someone might just get to know about it and where, providing there is a signal of course. But my home ICD monitor uses whichever network it can get a decent signal on, not locked to any one network.
