So IBM's Watson created this trailer for the upcoming film, "Morgan":
There's an article about it here:
Geek.com: IBM's Watson AI creates a movie trailer for sci-fi thriller Morgan (http://www.geek.com/news/ibms-watson-ai-creates-a-movie-trailer-for-sci-fi-thriller-morgan-1669318/)

Hmm... Interesting, but this does not seem too AI-ish. One does lean towards assuming that there was a fair amount of human effort involved, even if it was mostly behind the scenes or in defining the AI's ever-important I-parameters.
I'm not so much impressed by the results

Yeah, I get this impression as well. The part about "needing the human element" kind of makes it...meh.
I guess "Watson" or whatever other AI form could learn to make trailers by themselves by watching loads of movies and their respective trailers (good ones). Maybe then it could extract for itself meaningful patterns that make a good trailer.
