Record heat in the UK. Topped 100° F in the southeast, and very humid. The fever seems to have broken, however.

Florida....Rained off and on today. Temp never got above 88F.  Not to say that the pay back might be tomorrow. So far we have not exceeded 96F this summer.  Meanwhile North Dakota has seen plus 100s on a few days......WTF?

Over 30C today. Feels like I went to sleep and woke up in an oven.

The wind is blowing so hard here, with gusts in the 70 MPH range that people's trash bins are blowing down the street...along with the trash.  :( The local power company had said that the power would be cut during high wind events, after the disastrous fires and subsequent flooding due to loss of watershed here in southern California. I live in an area where the utilities are underground, but are still fed from the grid by (of course) high tension (>400kV) power lines. The risk is that the power company will be again blamed for fires that devastate entire cities and cause untold (no, really- just look up the the news (old) about the fire in Ventura County that completely destroyed the city of Paradise, CA) levels of destruction. The power to some areas may be cut for several days in some areas. All of the local retailers are sold out of emergency generators! I'm OK so far, and I bought my own generator years ago. We'll see how it all plays out. The weather has just gotten mild, and we can leave the windows open for fresh air...right up until some pyro started a fire a few miles away.  >:( Looks like it has been knocked down, though.

Temperatures go up and down lately with periods of rain and sunny weather. It surely must be caused by climate change, Brexit or both  ;).

It's very wet at the moment.

Well, you shouldn't play with it as much as you do. Wipe it, and put the bloody thing away! :couchhide:

The weather is actually very nice. Cool and not humid. Very rare in Virginia. It normally flips from a burning, fiery furnace to an Arctic chill overnight.
