Title: History of Prohibition: Why It Failed
Post by: Arturo on June 02, 2018, 11:31:12 AM

This line caught my ears "(the ASL) truly mastered the art of influence through mass media. It would function as a group that screamed the loudest and fought the dirtiest would refuse to stop it's goals." Sounds a bit like the republican party now.

^ There was a lot more to it then that according to this video. There were multiple movements and mass media at the time convinced people that prohibition was widely accepted when it was not. Although there were many movements against the use of alcohol. And the ASL used dirty tactics to get what they wanted (prohibition of alcohol)
